Front Blower Motor Removal





FRONT BLOWER MOTOR REMOVAL [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER]



NOTE:
- The front blower motor is located on the A/C unit as shown in the figure.






1. Set the air intake mode to FRESH.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3. Remove the following parts:
a. Front scuff plate Front Scuff Plate Removal/Installation

b. Front side trim Front Side Trim Removal/Installation

c. Side wall Side Wall Removal/Installation

d. Center console box Center Console Box Removal/Installation

e. Console panel Console Panel Removal/Installation

f. Center console Center Console Removal/Installation

g. Shift lever knob (MTX) Service and Repair

h. Selector lever knob (ATX) Automatic Transaxle Shift Mechanism Removal/Installation

i. Shift panel Shift Panel Removal/Installation

j. Front console Front Console Removal/Installation

k. Side panel Side Panel Removal/Installation

l. Glove compartment Service and Repair

m. Lower panel (passenger-side) Lower Panel Removal/Installation

n. Hood release lever Service and Repair

o. Lower panel (driver-side) Lower Panel Removal/Installation

p. Knee bolster Knee Bolster Removal/Installation

q. Front heat duct Front Heat Duct Removal/Installation

r. Airflow mode actuator Airflow Mode Actuator

s. Accelerator pedal Service and Repair

t. Brake pedal Service and Repair

4. Remove the BCM wiring harness grommets.

5. Remove the screws shown in the figure and slide the front blower case.






CAUTION:
- Slide the front blower case while pressing the dashboard insulator, otherwise the front blower case could be damaged.

6. Disconnect the air intake actuator connector.

7. Remove the front blower case shown in the figure.






8. Remove the air guide.






9. Install the SST (49 B061 015A) to the front blower motor.






10. Align the SST hole with the align point (1) and rotate the SST (2) and then confirm that the SST tabs into the three set holes on the blower motor they are inserted as shown in the figure.






11. Disconnect the front blower motor cooling pipe connected to the front blower motor.






12. Disconnect the front blower motor connector as shown in the figure.






13. Pull the lock on the top of the front blower motor cover and rotate the front blower motor cover.

CAUTION:
- When the front blower motor cover is removed, the front blower motor could fall in the A/C unit case causing the sirocco fan to be damaged. Therefore another person must hold the front blower motor at the installation position.





14. Remove the front blower motor by pulling it out.






CAUTION:
- To prevent damage to the sirocco fan, pull the front blower motor out being careful that the front blower motor does not interfere with the A/C unit.
