Dashboard Removal/Installation





DASHBOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the following parts:
a. Windshield wiper arm and blade Windshield Wiper Arm And Blade Removal/Installation

b. Front fender molding Cowl Grille Removal/Installation

c. Cowl grille Cowl Grille Removal/Installation

d. Cowl panel Cowl Panel Removal/Installation

e. Windshield wiper motor Windshield Wiper Motor Removal/Installation

f. Front door Service and Repair

g. Sail garnish Service and Repair

h. Front scuff plate Front Scuff Plate Removal/Installation

i. Front side trim Front Side Trim Removal/Installation

j. Center console box Center Console Box Removal/Installation

l. Center console Center Console Removal/Installation

m. Shift lever knob (MTX) Service and Repair

3. Disconnect the A/C unit connectors.

4. Disconnect the dashboard harness connectors.

5. Remove the bolts A.






6. Remove the nuts B.






7. Remove the bolts C.






8. Remove the caps then set the rolled paper.

9. Remove the bolts D and bolts E.






10. Remove the nuts F and bolts G then remove the center bracket.






11. Remove the bolts H.






12. Pull the dashboard in the direction of arrow (1), (2) shown in the figure.






13. Turn the dashboard 90°in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.






14. Take the dashboard off from the front driver-side door opening.

CAUTION:
- Removing the dashboard without supporting it can be dangerous. The dashboard may fall and injure you. Always perform the following procedure with at least another person.

NOTE:
- If the dashboard frame is scratched during removal, apply a coat of black paint for rust protection to protect the painted surface of the dashboard frame.
- If the hard-plastic part of the dashboard is repaired, apply the following paint to the repaired area.





15. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Bolt H Installation Note

1. Fit the service hole of dashboard and hinge pillar inner shown in the figure.






2. Partially tighten the bolts H in the order (1), (2), (3), (4) shown in the figure.






3. Reconfirms fit the service hole of dashboard and hinge pillar inner, then tighten the upper side bolt H.






4. Adjust the height. (Passenger-side)

5. Tighten the all of bolts.
