MAZDA SERVICE PROGRAM (M5P25) - FLOOR MAT HOOK INSTALLATION
APPLICABLE MODEL(S) / VINS
2010 Mazda6 vehicles built on or before Aug. 17, 2009.
DESCRIPTION
Some 2010 Mazda6 SV, Sport and Touring models that were ordered without floor mats were built without floor mat hooks installed in the carpet. These vehicles require hook installation. To install hooks, refer to the following installation procedure.
NOTE:
^ UNDER THE MAZDA SERVICE PROGRAM (MSP25), ALL CURRENT DEALER INVENTORY AND RETAILED VEHICLES FOUND TO BE WITHIN THE ASSOCIATED VIN RANGES AND PRODUCED ON OR BEFORE AUG.17, 2009 MUST BE INSPECTED ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN THIS SERVICE BULLETIN.
^ BEFORE PERFORMING ANY INSPECTION, VALIDATE THAT THE VEHICLE IS APPLICABLE TO THIS PROGRAM BY PERFORMING AN "eMDCS WARRANTY VEHICLE INQUIRY" AND VERIFYING THE VEHICLE DISPLAYS CAMPAIGN "M5P25" AND ITS CAMPAIGN STATUS DISPLAYS "OPEN". SEE VEHICLE INSPECTION PROCEDURE" BELOW.
DEALER INVENTORY:
Inspect all applicable vehicles currently in dealer inventory according to the procedures contained in this service bulletin.
RETAIL VEHICLES:
When an applicable retail vehicle is brought into the dealer for any type of repair or scheduled maintenance, perform an eMDCS Warranty Vehicle Inspection and check the status of M5P25. If status of M5P25 is "OPEN" inspect the vehicle according to the procedures contained in this service bulletin.
VEHICLE INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. Verify the vehicle was built on or before Aug. 17, 2009 and included in one of the following VIN ranges:
^ VIN Range: 1YVHZ8BA***M00034 - M00201
^ VIN Range: 1YVHZ8BH***M00328 - M06634
^ VIN Range: 1YVHZ8CA***M00189 - M00271
^ VIN Range: 1YVHZ8CH***M00596 - M06992
- If the vehicle was built on or before Aug. 17, 2009 and included in one of the above VIN ranges, proceed to Step 2.
- If the vehicle was not built on or before Aug. 17, 2009 and is not included in one of the above VIN ranges, return the vehicle to the customer or inventory.
2. Perform a Warranty Vehicle Inquiry using your eMDCS System and inspect the vehicle for a Campaign Label MSP25 attached to the vehicle's hood or bulkhead. Refer to eMDCS System - Warranty Vehicle Inquiry Results table.
NOTE:
Verify the campaign number as the vehicle may have multiple labels.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Verify concern.
2. Locate the four (4) perforations in the front carpet (2 driver side, 2 passenger side) located near the front seat track bolts.
3. Using a fiber stick, press on the perforations separating the carpet to create two (2) openings for the hooks.
4. Slide the bottom of the hook under the carpet through the rear slot.
5. Using the fiber stick to support the front of the hook. Lock the hook by snapping it together.
6. Verify installation.
7. Fill out a blue "Campaign Label" (9999-95-065A-06) with the Campaign No: "MSP25", your dealer code, today's date, and affix it to the vehicle's hood.
8. Return the vehicle to the customer or inventory.

NOTE:
^ This warranty information applies only to verified customer complaints on vehicles eligible for warranty repair.
^ This repair will be covered under Mazda's New Vehicle Limited Warranty term.
^ Repairs performed outside the 36 month/36,000 mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty will require DCSM or DSA authorization.
^ Additional diagnostic time cannot be claimed for this repair.
