Front Blower Motor Removal [Full-Auto Air Conditioner]

FRONT BLOWER MOTOR REMOVAL [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER]






NOTE: The front blower motor is located on the A/C unit as shown in the figure.

1. Set the air intake mode to FRESH.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the following parts:
1. Side wall.
2. Selector lever component (ATX).
3. Shift lever component (MTX).
4. Front console.
5. Front scuff plate inner (Passenger's side).
6. Front side trim (passengers side).
7. Side panel. (Passenger's side).
8. Glove compartment.
9. Hood release lever.
10. HF/TEL unit.
11. Lower panel.
12. Airflow mode actuator.
13. Accelerator pedal.
14. Brake pedal.

4. Remove the BCM wiring harness grommets.
5. Remove the screws shown in the figure and slide the front blower case.

CAUTION: Slide the front blower case while pressing the dashboard insulator, otherwise the front blower case could be damaged.




6. Disconnect the air intake actuator connector.




7. Remove the front blower case shown in the figure.




8. Remove the air guide.
9. Install the SST (49 B061 015) to the front blower motor. (See SST Installation Note.)




10. Disconnect the front blower motor cooling pipe connected to the front blower motor.




11. Disconnect the front blower motor connector as shown in the figure.
12. Remove the front blower motor cover. (See Front Blower Motor Cover Removal Note.)

CAUTION: When the front blower motor cover is removed, the front blower motor could fall in the A/C unit case causing the sirocco fan to be damaged. Therefore another person must hold the front blower motor at the installation position.

13. Remove the front blower motor by pulling it out. (See Front blower Motor Removal Note.)

SST Installation Note







1. Align the SST guide with the sirocco fan clip position and press the SST tabs (3) into the three set holes on the front blower motor until they are inserted.




2. Rotate the SST (49 B061 015) clockwise to lock the SST and front blower motor.

1. Pull the lock on the top of the front blower motor cover and rotate the front blower motor cover.

CAUTION: To prevent damage to the sirocco fan, pull the front blower motor out being careful that the front blower motor does not interfere with the A/C unit.
