Interior - C-Pillar Trim Deformed Upon Re-Installation

DESCRIPTION





On some vehicles, improper alignment can result in the C-pillar trim deforming around the window on reinstallation. Deforming occurs if the trim is fitted in the vehicle with the lower part pressed against the body panel.

When installing the C-pillar trim, check to see if it is fitted properly per the following procedure.

C-PILLAR TRIM INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. After installing the C-pillar trim, push on the indicated area.

a. If it can be pushed in and touches the body panel, it is installed correctly.

b. If it gets stuck, the C-pillar trim may be interfering with the body panel.

2. If necessary, remove the trunk side trim and push up the C-pillar trim to make sure it is placed over the body panel.
