DESCRIPTION

The following changes have been carried out on RX-8's oil level gauge (dipstick).

^ The material has been hardened.

^ The diameter of the dipstick has been decreased from 0.12" (3.0 mm) to 0.08" (2.0 mm).

^ Dotted marks have been added to the oil level indicator.

^ There is no longer a chamfer on the tip.





This service information is to inform you how to read the dotted marks on the new dipstick. These changes are also outlined in the Owner's Manual (Maintenance and Care section).
