Oil Pan: Service and Repair

OIL PAN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the under cover.
3. Drain the engine oil.
4. Remove the TWC (RH).





5. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
7. Refill the engine oil with the specified type and amount.
8. Start the engine and inspect for oil leakage.
- If the oil leaks, specify the faulty part and repair or replace it.
9. Inspect the oil level.

Oil Pan Removal Note





1. Remove the transaxle housing bolts from oil pan.





2. Loosen the oil pan bolts and studs in two or three passes in the order shown.

Oil Pan Gasket Installation Note





1. Apply silicone sealant to the cylinder block as shown.
Dot diameter 10 mm (0.39 inches)

Oil Pan Installation Note





1. Install the oil pan bolts and studs as shown.





2. Tighten the transaxle housing bolts to oil pan.





3. Tighten the oil pan bolts and studs in several passes in the order shown.
