Displaying & Reading Trouble Codes

NOTE: This is the only information provided by the manufacturer for reading trouble codes for this system.

Reading DTCs Procedure

Present diagnostic test mode

1. Shine a 60 W incandescent light from a height of approximately 100 mm {3.9 in) onto the solar radiation sensor.

NOTE:
- When incandescent light is not shining on the solar radiation sensor, the A/C amplifier determines a malfunction and indicates a DTC "02".

2. Perform the necessary vehicle preparation and visual inspection.
3. Connect WDS or equivalent to the DLC.
4. Retrieve pending trouble code by WDS or equivalent.

Past diagnostic test mode

1. Start present diagnostic test mode.




2. Press the A/C SW and start past diagnostic test mode.
- If the system is normal, SYSTEM PASSED (NO DTCs AVAILABLE) system passed will be indicated.
- If any DTC is indicated, follow the appropriate DTC troubleshooting chart.

NOTE:
- "(PAST)" is indicated on the WDS or equivalent and "A/C" is indicated on the information display only in past diagnostic test mode.

3. After completion of repairs, clear DTCs.
