Variable Induction Control Actuator: Testing and Inspection
VRIS SHUTTER VALVE ACTUATOR INSPECTION1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the VRIS shutter valve actuator.
2. Connect the vacuum pump to the VRIS shutter valve actuator.
3. Apply 3.6 - 24.9 kPa {27 - 187 mmHg, 1.1 - 7.4 inHg} vacuum and verify that the rod is pulled into the VRIS shutter valve actuator.
- If not as specified, remove the VRIS shutter valve actuator and inspect the operation of the VRIS shutter valve.
- If it does not operate smoothly, replace the VRIS shutter valve actuator.
