Component Tests and General Diagnostics
HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (HO2S) INSPECTIONNOTE: Perform the following test only when directed.
1. Connect the WDS or equivalent to the DLC-2. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST.)
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Specification:
3. Verify that the O2S11, O2S21, O2S12 and O2S22 PIDs are within the specification.
- If these systems are okay, replace the HO2S.
- If not as specified, inspect the following:
- Intake-air system
- Fuel system
- OBD system
Tightening torque: 29 - 49 N.m {3.0 - 5.0 kgf.m, 22 - 36 ft.lbf}
Heater
1. Disconnect the HO2S connector.
2. Measure the resistance between HO2S terminals D and C using an ohmmeter.
- If not as specified, replace the HO2S.
Specification:
6 Ohms Rear
3.3 Ohms Front
Tightening torque: 29 - 49 N.m {3.0 - 5.0 kgf.m, 22 - 36 ft.lbf}
