Sunroof / Moonroof Module: Service and Repair
SUNROOF UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION1. Close the glass panel fully.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the headliner.
4. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
6. Adjust the glass panel.
Glass Panel Removal Note
1. If a solar ventilation system is equipped, disconnect the roof harness.
2. Remove the glass panel installation nuts.
3. Push the glass panel up from the inside to remove it.
Sunroof Unit Removal Note
1. If a solar ventilation system is equipped, disconnect the roof harness and remove the clip from the bracket.
2. Remove the sunroof unit installation nuts and bolts.
Drain Hose Installation Note
NOTE: Apply soapy water to the drain hose and insert it fully into the sunroof frame.
Front
1. Insert one end of the hose into the sunroof frame and set the hose along the A-pillar.
2. Insert the other end into the cowl side panel hole.
Rear
1. Insert one end of the hose into the sunroof frame.
2. Insert the other end into the rear fender panel hole via the hole in the upper part of the C-pillar.
Sunroof Motor Installation Note
1. Move the guide backward and align the center of the roller with the mark written on the guide.
2. Set the sunroof motor using an Allen wrench as shown.
SUNROOF UNIT DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY
1. Disassemble in the order indicated in the table
2. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
Sunshade Disassembly Note
1. Remove the cover.
2. Slide the sunshade back to remove it.
Drip Rail Disassembly Note
1. Remove the drip rail installation screws.
Guide Disassembly Note
1. Remove the guide stopper.
2. Remove the guide pin using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver.
3. Slide the guide back to remove it.
Guide Rail Cover Disassembly Note
1. Remove the guide rail cover installation screw.
Guide Unit Disassembly Note
1. Remove the guide unit installation screws.
Decoration Link and Guide Assembly Note
1. Set the decoration link under the front guide clip.
2. Set the drive cable to the rear guide.
3. Set the front guide retainer to the rear guide.
4. Insert the guide into the guide rail.
