Fuel Injector Removal /Installation

FUEL INJECTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [KL]





1. Complete the "BEFORE REPAIR PROCEDURE".
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
5. Complete the "AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE".

Fuel Distributor Installation Note





1. Install new fuel injector insulators.
2. Install the insulators, making sure that each is pressed in fully, and that it is not twisted or bent. Incorrectly installed insulators can cause rough idle.

Fuel Injector Installation Note
1. Install new O-rings.
2. Apply a small amount of clean engine oil to the O-rings before installing them.
3. Verify that the fuel distributor is clean.
4. Clean the fuel distributor with gasoline, if necessary.
5. Install the fuel injector squarely into the fuel distributor while turning it back and forth.
6. Fit the fuel injector tab into the notch in the fuel distributor.





7. Install the harness.
