EGR Monitor Repair Verification Drive Cycle
EGR System Repair Verification Drive ModeNOTE:
- The IAT PID must be above 10 °C {50 °F} to initiate the EGR monitor.
- After the monitoring conditions are set, system testing requires at least 30 seconds to complete.
1. Connect WDS or equivalent to DLC.
2. Warm vehicle up to at least an engine coolant temperature (ECT PID) of 74 °C {165 °F}.
3. Verify all accessory loads (A/C, P/S, headlight, blower fan) are off.
4. Drive vehicle within 77 - 204 km/h {48 - 127 mph} and maintain a constant speed for at least 2 minutes.
5. Return to idle for at least 20 seconds.
6. Stop vehicle and access to On-Board System Readiness Test Function (MODE01) to check the drive mode completion status.
- If not completed, turn the ignition key to off then repeat Steps 3 to 6 at least one more time.
7. Access to Diagnostic Monitoring Test Results Function (MODE06) to check the values. If values are not within specification, repair has not completed.
8. Verify no DTCs are available.
