BAC Valve Operation Inspection

CAUTION: Connecting the wrong data link connector terminal may possibly cause a malfunction. Carefully connect the specified terminal only.

1. Using a jumper wire to turn on the test mode, perform the following:




1. Short the DLC terminal TEN to body GND using a jumper wire.




2. Connect a dwell tacho tester to the DLC terminal IG-.
3. Start the engine at engine cold condition.

4. Verify that the idle speed decreases gradually as the engine warms up.
- If not, inspect the water hose of the BAC valve.
- If water hose is okay, replace the BAC valve.
