Transmission Mode Indicator - A/T: Testing and Inspection
Hold Indicator Light Inspection [GF4A-EL]Inspection Of Operation
1. Turn the ignition switch from OFF position to ON position.
Note: The HOLD indicator light will flash if a malfunction exists in any of the EC-AT system components.
2. Verify that the HOLD indicator light does not illuminate.
3. Depress the switch and verify that the HOLD indicator light illuminates.
4. If the HOLD switch function is not as specified, inspect the HOLD switch and then inspect the terminal voltage of the HOLD indicator light.
Inspection Of Voltage
1. Remove the instrument cluster.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON position.
3. Measure the voltage between terminal 2G and a ground.
Inspection Of Continuity
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
3. Inspect for continuity between terminal 2F and powertrain control module terminal 2E.
4. If not correct, inspect the wiring harness.
5. If correct, go to the next step.
6. Inspect for continuity between terminals 2G and 2F.
7. If not correct, replace the instrument cluster or bulb.
8. Install the instrument cluster.
9. Connect the negative battery cable.
