Fuel Filter: Service and Repair

WARNING: Fuel line spills and leaks are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the "Fuel Pressure Release Procedures". (Refer to BEFORE REPAIR PROCEDURE.)

Before Repair Procedure

1. Complete the "BEFORE REPAIR PROCEDURE". (Refer to BEFORE REPAIR PROCEDURE.)

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Disconnect the fuel hoses from the fuel filter.
4. Remove the fuel filter and bracket.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
6. Verify that the fuel hoses are pushed fully onto the fuel filter nozzles.
7. Complete the "AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE". (Refer to AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE.)
