Inspection of Diagnostic Trouble Codes for Operation Mode

NOTE:
- If an Operation Mode is not indicated, the following may be the cause of the malfunction.
1. Cruise control switch (RESUME/ACCEL switch)
2. Cruise control main switch
3. Cruise control module
4. Open or short circuit in wiring harness

Using the SST (NGS set)
1. Connect the SST (NGS set) to the data link connector and battery.
2. Set the SST (NGS set) to AUX 2.
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
4. Verify that the cruise control main switch is off




5. Push and hold the RESUME/ACCEL switch (1) then push the cruise control main switch (2) to activate system inspection. (The cruise set indicator light will illuminate for 3 seconds.)

6. Select "VEHICLE & ENGINE SELECTION" and press TRIGGER. (Select the model and specifications of the vehicle you're testing.)
7. Select "DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK" and press TRIGGER.
8. Select "CCM-CRUISE CONTROL MODULE" and press TRIGGER.
9. Select "DIAGNOSTIC TEST MODE" and press TRIGGER.
10. Select "CRUISE CONTROL INPUT SW SELF TEST' and press TRIGGER.
11. Press START.
12. Operate each switch as described and note the operation code list pattern. If a diagnostic trouble code is not indicated, inspect the corresponding system area.
13. If normal, "NO CODES RECEIVED" will then be indicated.
14. Remove the SST (NGS set).
15. The operation mode is canceled by turning the ignition switch to LOCK or by turning off the cruise control main switch.
