Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments

Transaxle Range Switch Adjustment [LJ4A-EL]
1. Remove the selector rod from the manual shaft lever.
2. Move the manual shaft to the N position.
3. Loosen the transaxle range switch mounting bolts.





4. Align the holes of the transaxle range switch and the manual shaft lever by inserting a pin with an outer diameter of approx. 4.0 mm (0.157 inch).





5. Tighten the transaxle range switch mounting bolts and remove the pin.
Tightening torque 2.5 - 3.9 Nm (25 - 40 kgf-cm, 22 - 34 inch lbs.)
6. Inspect the continuity of the transaxle range switch.
7. If not correct, replace the transaxle range switch.





8. Install the selector rod to the manual shaft lever.
