Overdrive Indicator Lamp: Testing and Inspection
O/D Off Indicator Light InspectionInspection Of Operation
1. Turn the ignition switch from OFF to ON.
Note: The O/D OFF indicator light will illuminate if a malfunction exists in any of the EC-AT system components.
2. Verify that the O/D OFF indicator light is not illuminated.
3. Press the switch and verify that the O/D OFF indicator illuminates.
- If the O/D OFF switch function is not as specified, after checking the O/D OFF switch, check the terminal voltage of the O/D OFF indicator light.
Inspection Of Voltage
1. Remove the instrument cluster.
2. Turn the ignition switch on.
3. Measure voltage between terminal 3N and a ground.
Inspection Of Continuity
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
3. Inspect continuity between terminal 3C and powertrain control module terminal 79.
- If not as specified, inspect the wiring harness.
- If it is as specified, go to the next step.
4. Inspect continuity between terminals 3N and 3C.
- If not as specified, replace the instrument cluster or bulb.
5. Install the instrument cluster.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
