Injector Volume Test

WARNING
- Fuel vapor is hazardous. It can very easily ignite, causing serious injury and damage. Always keep sparks and flames away from fuel.
- Fuel can Ignite and cause serious Injuries or death and damage if fuel is spilled over a hot engine. Always carry out the following procedure with the engine stopped.

1. Remove the fuel injectors and fuel distributor component from the intake manifold.




2. Connect the SST as shown.

CAUTION
- Misconnecting the data link connector terminals will possibly cause a malfunction. Properly connect the specified terminals only.




3. Connect the data link connector terminals F/P and GND with a jumper wire.
4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
5. Turn selector switch on the SST to select fuel injector number.




6. Press and hold the switch for 15 sec. and measure the injection volume of each fuel injector by using a graduated container.

Specification
48 - 56 ml {48 - 56 cc, 1.6 - 1.8 fl oz} /15 sec.

7. Turn off the ignition switch and disconnect the jumper wire.
8. If not as specified, replace the fuel injector.
