Daytime Running Lamp Relay: Service and Repair

Removal / Installation




1. Disconnect the DRL resistor connector.
2. Remove the nut.
3. Remove the DRL resistor.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Inspection

CAUTION: Determine and correct the cause of the burnt fuse before replacing it with the specified type. It the fuse is replaced before doing this, it may burn again.




1. Disconnect the DRL resistor connector.
2. Confirm that the DRL resistor fuse is okay.
3. If the DRL resistor fuse is burnt, replace it with a the new DRL resistor fuse.
4. Check for resistance between the DRL resistor terminals A and B.

Resistance: Approx. 0.3 ohm

5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the DRL resistor.
