Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments

TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH ADJUSTMENT
1. Remove the selector lever.
2. Move the manual shaft to N position.




3. Loosen the transmission range switch mounting nuts.




4. Align the holes of the transmission range switch and insert an approx. 2.0 mm (0.079 in.) outer diameter pin through the holes.
5. Tighten the mounting bolts, and remove the pin.

Tightening torque: 5.0-6.8 Nm (44-0 in.lbs.)

6. Recheck the continuity of the transmission range switch.
7. If not correct, replace the transmission range switch.
8. Install the selector lever.


Tightening torque: 45-63 Nm (33-7 ft.lbs.)
