Crankshaft Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection
CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR INSPECTION1. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector.
2. Measure the resistance between terminals A and B by using an ohmmeter.
Specification: 500-600 ohms @ 20°C (68°F)
3. If not as specified, replace the crankshaft position sensor
4. Measure the air gap between the crankshaft pulley projection and the crankshaft position sensor by using a feeler gauge.
Specification: 0.5-1.5 mm (0.020-0.059 in.)
5. If not as specified, adjust the air gap.
