Rear Cover

1. Apply clean engine oil to the new oil seal.
2. Install the oil seal into rear cover by hand.





3. Tap the oil seal in evenly by using the Special Service Tool (SST) and a hammer.





4. Apply silicone sealant to the shaded area shown.
5. Install the rear cover, tightening the bolts to 9-10.7 Nm (70-95 inch lbs.).
6. Cut away the portion of the silicone sealant that project from the rear cover toward the oil pan side.
