Oil Pump

1. Apply clean engine oil to the new oil seal.
2. Install the oil seal into the oil pump body by hand.





3. Press the oil seal into the oil pump body by using the Special Service Tool (SST).





4. Apply silicone sealant, using a bead thickness of 1-2 mm (0.040-0.078 inch) to the oil pump as shown.
5. Install the oil pump within five minutes of applying the sealant tightening the bolts to 19-25 Nm (14-18 ft. lbs.).
6. Cut away the portion of the silicone sealant that project from the body towards the oil pan side.
