Possible cause
^ Burnt DOOR LOCK 30A fuse
^ Burnt ROOM 15A fuse
^ Damaged door lock timer unit
^ Damaged door lock-link switch
^ Damaged door lock actuator
^ Damaged CPU
^ Open or short circuit in wiring harness Poor connection of connector

Step 1

Fuse Inspection:

Action Chart:

Check the DOOR LOOK 30A fuse and ROOM 15A fuse in the fuse block.

Step 2

Voltmeter Connection:

Action Chart:

Measure the voltage at the (W/G) terminal wire of the door lock timer unit connector.

Ohmmeter Connection:

Action Chart:

Step 3
1. Disconnect the door lock timer unit connector.
2. Check for continuity between the (B) terminal wire and ground.

Step 4

Voltmeter Connection:

Action Chart:

Measure the voltage at the (BR), (O) and (Y) terminal wires of the door lock timer unit connector.

Step 5

Reference:

1. Measure the voltage at the terminal wires of the door lock timer unit connector with the following terminal wires grounded.
2. If correct, go to Step 6.
3. If not as specified, check the door lock timer unit.

Step 6

Voltmeter Connection:

Action Chart:

Measure the voltage at the 2K (G/B) terminal wire of the CPU connector with the driver's door lock knob in the LOCK position.

Step 7
1. Remove the driver's door trim arid door screen.

Voltmeter Connection:

2. Measure the voltage at the (L/R) terminal wire of the door lock-link switch connector.

Ohmmeter Connection:

Action Chart:

Step 8
1. Disconnect the door lock-link switch connector.
2. Check for continuity between the (B) terminal wire and ground.

Voltmeter Connection:

Measure the voltage at the (G/B) terminal wire of the door lock-link switch connector with the driver's door lock knob in the LOCK position.
