MAZDA ACCESSORY CD PLAYER BACK LIGHTING DOES NOT ILLUMINATE

APPLICABLE MODELS/VINS
All 1995 - 96 Protege LX and ES with a CD player.
All 1995 - 96 MX-6 with a CD player.

DESCRIPTION

The back lighting on some early Mazda accessory CD players will not illuminate unless the vehicle's lights are operated. A harness kit is available from Panasonic to correct this problem.
Customers complaining of this concern should have the harness installed. Dealers should also check vehicles in their inventory for this concern.

Contact Panasonic at 1-800-331-2937 for next day delivery of the harness. This harness is supplied with instructions and is shipped free of charge.
