Fuel Pump Maximum Pressure

FUEL PUMP MAXIMUM PRESSURE

WARNING: Fuel line spills and leaks are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the "Fuel Line Safety Procedures".

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.




- Connect a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel pump and plug the outlet of the gauge as shown.
- Connect the negative battery cable.




- Connect data link connector terminals F/P and GND by using a jumper wire.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON. Measure the fuel pump pressure.

Pressure: 5OO - 63O kPa (72 - 92 psi)

- Turn off the ignition switch and disconnect the jumper wire.
- If not as specified, replace the fuel pump.
