Maximum Output Inspection
Fuel Pump Maximum PressureWarning: Fuel line spills and leaks are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, complete the "Fuel Line Safety Procedures".
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Connect a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel pump and plug the outlet of the gauge as shown in the figure.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
4. Connect the data link connector terminals F/P and GND by using a jumper wire.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and measure the fuel pump pressure.
Specification: 500-630 kPa (72-93 psi)
6. Turn off the ignition switch and disconnect the jumper wire.
7. If not as specified, replace the fuel pump.
