Volume Test

Warning: Fuel vapor is hazardous. It can very easily ignite, causing serious injury and damage. Always keep sparks and flames away from fuel.



Volume test




1. Remove the fuel injectors and fuel distributor assembly from the intake manifold.




2. Connect the special service tools (SST)s as shown above.

3. Connect data link connector terminals F/P and GND with a jumper wire.
4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.




5. Turn selector switch on the SST to select fuel injector number.
6. Press and hold the switch for 15 sec. and measure the injection volume of each fuel injector by using a graduated container.

Specification: 61-77 cc (2.0-2.6 fl oz)/15 sec.

7. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the jumper wire.
8. If not as specified, replace the fuel injector.
