Fuel Pump: Service and Repair
REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONWARNING: Fuel line spills and leaks are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the "Fuel Pressure Release Procedure".
1. Remove the fuel tank.
Fuel Pump Removal:
2. Remove the fuel pump.
3. Install in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE: Replace the fuel pump as an assembly.

2. Fuel pump ring
3. Fuel pump
4. Fuel pump gasket

Rotate the fuel pump ring counterclockwise and remove it.
Fuel Pump Installation Details:
Installation note
Rotate the fuel pump ring clockwise until the flange touches the stopper.
