SYSTEM TEST
The EGR valve position can be precisely varied depended on engine operating conditions. Spark advance can be adjusted to compensate for EGR flow.

Cold engine (coolant temperature: below 26°C {78°F})
EGR operation is stopped to improve driveability when the engine is cold.

EGR operates when the conditions in the chart are met.
