CONDITION OF CONCERN

Mazda has determined that on some affected vehicles, the SAS Control Module may cause unnecessary deployment in a frontal low speed or minor undercarriage impact. To address this concern, Mazda has developed a modified SAS Control Module.





SUBJECT VEHICLES

OWNER NOTIFICATION

Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by mail on February 11, 2002.





REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM





The reimbursement program has been extended through March 2003. Owners of affected vehicles will receive a reimbursement application form as shown.





REQUIRED PARTS

Campaign labels are supplied at no charge and are available in 8-1/2" X 11" sheets containing 18 labels. Please use MNET to order labels.
