Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
The mass air flow sensor detects the amount of air entering the engine and sends a coresponding signal to the engine control module (ECM).

REMARKS
- The intake air temperature sensor and the fuel pump switch are integral components within the mass air flow sensor assembly.
- The mass air flow sensor is powered by a 5 Volt reference voltage.
