Air Conditioning Switch: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
Signals the ECM when A/C is running. ECM then ensures stable idling by compensating for extra engine load created by the A/C compressor.

OPERATION
When A/C switch "ON" signal is received by the ECM, it signals the idle speed control valve to increase amount of bypass air and raise idle speed.
