With Automatic Transaxle (ATX)

PREPARATION
1. Warm engine to operating temperature.
2. Turn all electrical loads "OFF."
- Headlight switch
- Blower switch
- Rear window defroster
- Air conditioning switch

View: Data Link Connections For Idle Speed Adjustment:

3. Connect a jumper wire to data link connector terminals TEN and GND.
4. Connect tachometer to data link connector IG- terminal.

ADJUST IDLE SPEED
1. Verify that coolant fan is not running.
2. Check idle speed:

Idle Speed: (P range) 700 - 800 rpm (ATX)

View: Adjusting Idle Speed:

3. If not within specification, adjust with air adjusting screw.
4. Disconnect jumper wire and tachometer from data link connector.
