ADJUSTMENT
1. Verify that the throttle valve is fully closed.
2. Connect the SSTs to the ECM as shown.
3. Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector.
4. Turn ignition switch ON.
5. Using a voltmeter, measure voltage at connector side terminal C.

Specification: 4.5-5.5 V

6. Reconnect the throttle position sensor.
7. Loosen the sensor screws.
8. Adjust the sensor output voltage by rotating the sensor.





Specification (Closed throttle position)
Connector terminal C voltage ECM terminal 2M voltage
4.5-4.9 0.4-0.5
4.9-5.1 0.4-0.6
5.1-5.5 0.5-0.6





9. Tighten the sensor mounting screws.

Tightening torque:
1.6-2.3 N-m (14-21 in-lb)


10. Fully open the throttle valve and verify that the ECM terminal voltage are within specification.

11. Disconnect the SST.
12. If not as specified, replace the throttle position sensor.
