INSPECTION



1. Remove the distributor.

Warning:
- Before performing following operation, disconnect the injector connector.
- When checking the Camshaft position sensor, never connect the ignition control module (6-pin).

2. Connect the distributor connector (4-pin).
3. Disconnect the fuel injector connector.
4. Connect the SST to the PCM.
5. Turn the ignition switch ON.




6. Rotate the distributor drive by hand and measure the output voltage.

7. After the inspection, install the distributor.




8. Start the engine and adjust the ignition timing.

Ignition timing: BTDC 9-11°

9. Tighten the distributor lock bolts to the specified torque.

Mount Bolt Tightening torque: 19-25 N-m (14-18 ft-lb)
