Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Description and Operation

PURPOSE
The intake air temperature sensor detects the temperature of the engine's incoming air and sends a corresponding signal to the powertrain control module engine (PCME).

CONSTRUCTION
The intake air temperature sensor is an integral component of the mass air flow sensor and is not serviced separately.
