Auxiliary Air Valve (Idle Speed): Description and Operation

PURPOSE
Supplies bypass air into the intake system dynamic chamber during low ambient temperatures. Engine speed is increased to shorten warm-up period.


CONSTRUCTION
The air valve is a thermowax type valve and is not serviceable separately from the by-pass air control valve assembly.
