6-Port Induction (6PI) System
6PI Actuator Testing:
1. Remove air hose from actuator and connect a pressure gauge with "T" fitting as shown.
2. Apply low pressure compressed air to actuator and check operation. Rod should begin to move at 0.85 psi (5.9 kPa) and be fully extended at 1.4 psi (9.3 kPa).
3. If not as specified, check auxiliary port valve for binding. If no other problems are detected, replace actuator.
6PI SOLENOID VALVE
Solenoid Switching Valve:
1. Disconnect vacuum hose from solenoid valve.
2. Blow through hose "A" and check that air flows from the air filter.
3. Remove valve electrical connector.
4. Connect 12V and a ground to valve terminals.
5. Blow through hose "A" and check that air flows from port "B."
6. If not as specified, replace valve.
