Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

Dynamic Chamber To Manifold (Bolt Locations):






1. Relieve fuel system pressure.
2. Disconnect intake duct from throttle body.
3. Remove intake manifold dynamic chamber and throttle body, as an assembly, from intake manifold.
4. Disconnect vacuum hoses and fuel hoses from fuel rail.
5. Disconnect electrical connectors from fuel injectors.
6. Remove fuel rail.
7. Remove injectors, O-rings, and insulators.
8. Install in the reverse order. Lubricate injecotr O-rings with gasoline prior to installation. Tighten dynamic chamber to manifold bolts to 14 - 19 ft lb (19 - 15 Nm).
9. When installation is complete, energize fuel pump (jumper between the "Fp" and "GND" terminals of the diagnostic connector and turn ignition "ON") and make sure there are no leaks.
