Checking Continuity

1. Remove selector lever knob.
2. Check continuity of terminals. There should be no continuity when knob is depressed and there should be continuity when knob is released.
3. If continuity is not as described, replace selector lever knob.

Checking Terminal Voltage

1. Ensure continuity of switch is satisfactory.
2. Turn ignition switch to On position.
3. Check voltage between terminals A and B and between terminal A and ground, Fig. 11. There should be approximately 12 volts between terminals A and B and between terminal A and ground.
4. If voltage is not as described, check wiring harness.
