Extension Housing Gasket













Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Jacking and Lifting Service and Repair.

2. Remove the driveshaft. For additional information, refer to Driveshaft Removal and Replacement.

3. Remove the transmission insulator and retainer. For additional information, refer to Transmission Insulator and Retainer Service and Repair.

4. Remove the LH and RH catalyst monitor connector retainers.





5. Remove the 2 stud bolts and the 4 extension housing bolts and the housing.





6. Remove the extension housing gasket.





Installation

1. Install a new extension housing gasket.





2. Install the 4 extension housing bolts along with the 2 stud bolts.
- Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).





3. Install the LH and RH catalyst monitor connector retainers.





4. Install the transmission insulator and retainer. For additional information, refer to Transmission Insulator and Retainer Service and Repair.

5. Install the driveshaft. For additional information, refer to Driveshaft Removal and Replacement.

6. Check the transmission fluid level. Add transmission fluid as necessary. For additional information, refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Refill Transmission Fluid Drain And Refill.
