Attachment III - Technical Information

OVERVIEW

This Special Field Action involves installing a mercury (Hg) content label on the driver side door opening of 2008 model year Town Cars built from Job 1 through April 01, 2008. Affected vehicles are limited to the following states:

Sold and/or In-stock vehicles in the states of Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Also only in-stock vehicles in the state of Louisiana.

LABEL INSTALLATION

NOTE:
Labels for in-stock vehicles are being mailed to service managers at dealerships in the affected states.





Using a clean and dry towel, clean the driver side door opening to remove any dirt or moisture that would cause the mercury (Hg) content label not to stick. Then, peel the backing off the supplied label and affix it to the vehicle. See Figure 1.
