DRIVER SEAT MODULE (DSM)Removal and Installation
NOTE: Prior to the removal of the module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to a scan tool. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed.
1. NOTE:
- A new driver seat module (DSM) is delivered in a manufacturing mode with a pre-set DTC of B2477 (Module Configuration Failure). This DTC will clear when the module has been successfully configured during programmable module installation (PMI).
- This step is only necessary if the DSM is being replaced.
Upload the module configuration information from the DSM.
2. Remove the driver seat.
3. Remove the 2 screws.
4. Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
5. Remove the DSM from the seat bracket.
6. NOTE: Once the new module is installed, it is necessary to download the module configuration information from the scan tool into the new module, refer to Information Bus (Module Configuration).
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
