Normal Operation
The compass sensor module receives voltage from the central junction box (CJB) through circuit 640 (RD/YE) and is grounded through circuit 676 (PK/OG). The compass sensor module communicates the vehicle direction to the instrument cluster, using circuits 702 (WH/BK) and 703 (WH/OG) which is displayed in the message center.

DTC B2097 - is a continuous DTC that sets if the instrument cluster detects that the compass module failed the self test.

DTC U2013 - is a continuous DTC that sets if the instrument cluster detects that the compass module is not configured properly.

Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Circuit 640 (RD/YE) open
- Circuit 676 (PK/OG) open
- Circuit 702 (WH/BK) open or short to ground
- Circuit 703 (WH/OG) open or short to ground
- Compass sensor module
- Instrument cluster
