Normal Operation
The auto dimming interior mirror receives voltage from the central junction box (CJB) through circuit 964 (DB/LG) and is grounded through circuit 57 (BK) (without navigation) or circuit 676 (PK/OG) (with navigation). The auto dimming interior mirror directly controls the automatic dimming of the LH exterior mirror by providing voltage through circuit 46 (VT) and signal return through circuit 47 (LB/WH). When the transmission is in REVERSE, the digital transmission range (TR) sensor sends a voltage signal through circuit 140 (BK/PK) to the auto dimming mirror, which turns the dimming feature off.
Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Circuit 46 (VT) open, short to voltage, short to ground
- Circuit 47 (LB/WH) open, short to voltage, short to ground
- Circuit 57 (BK) open
- Circuit 140 (BK/PK) open
- Circuit 676 (PK/OG) open
- Circuit 964 (DB/LG) open, short to ground
- Interior rear view mirror
- Exterior mirror glass
- Exterior mirror
