Auxiliary Water Pump: Service and Repair
AUXILIARY COOLANT FLOW PUMPRemoval and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Remove the engine air cleaner outlet tube.
3. Drain the engine coolant.
4. Release the clamp and disconnect the upper radiator hose.
5. Release the auxiliary coolant flow pump-to-engine hose clamp and disconnect the hose.
6. Release the auxiliary coolant flow pump-to-heater hose and tube assembly hose clamp and disconnect the hose.
7. Disconnect the auxiliary coolant flow pump electrical connector.
8. Remove the 2 auxiliary coolant flow pump bolts.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
9. Remove the auxiliary coolant flow pump.
10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Clean and lubricate the coolant hoses with plain water only, if needed.
11. Fill the engine cooling system.
