Radiator: Service and Repair

Radiator
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding.
3. Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud.





4. Remove the upper radiator sight shield.
5. Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the radiator and position aside.
6. Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the radiator and position aside.
7. Remove the 6 bolts and the 2 upper radiator support brackets.
^ To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).

8. NOTE: Lower the A/C condenser to gain access to the A/C condenser-to-radiator bolts.

Remove the 2 A/C condenser retaining bolts and position the A/C condenser aside.
^ To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
9. Remove the 2 A/C condenser upper bracket bolts and the 2 upper brackets.
^ To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).

10. NOTE: It may be necessary to lean the radiator forward to gain access to the combination cooler bolts.

NOTE: Lift the combination cooler up and forward to release it from the radiator retaining clips.

Remove the 2 bolts and position the combination cooler aside.
^ To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





11. Remove the 3 bolts and position the shield down.





12. Release the clips and position the radiator shield down and remove the radiator.
13. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Make sure that the combination cooler is seated in the radiator retaining clips.
14. Fill and bleed the cooling system.
